School Picture Day Guide for Parents

School picture day is a special occasion for both students and parents, capturing cherished memories that last a lifetime. To help ensure everything goes smoothly, here's a handy guide for parents:

Before Picture Day

  • Look out for details from your school regarding the schedule and any specific guidelines for picture day.

  • Ensure your child wears well-fitting, comfortable clothes that allow them to sit and move easily without frequent adjustments.

  • Opt for minimal accessories to avoid distractions. Small, understated jewelry or hair clips are fine, but avoid large or flashy items that might draw attention away from your child.

  • For additional tips on how to dress for the best pictures, consult the What to Wear section below.

On Picture Day

  • Ensure your child arrives at school on time to avoid missing their photo slot. Arriving early helps minimize stress and ensures a smoother experience for everyone.

After Picture Day

  • About three weeks after your schools picture days,  you’ll receive an email with an access code to view your child's photos. Use this code to browse the images and select your favorite.

  • Photos will be available for ordering for approximately three weeks. Be sure to place your order before the gallery closes to ensure you receive your prints and products.

  • Feel free to share the photos access code with family and friends. The code can be used by other family members who wish to purchase additional prints or keepsakes.

  • If you have any feedback or concerns about the photos, please contact the school or email us at support@scholarsnaps.com.

What to Wear

  • Choose outfits that your child will feel confident and comfortable in.

  • Solid colors often work better than busy patterns or stripes keeping the focus on the student.

  • Large logos or text on clothing can be distracting and take attention away from the subject.

  • Layers add depth to your outfit such as  jackets, scarves, or sweaters.

  • Ensure your clothes fit well since too tight or too loose clothing can be unflattering.

  • Simple accessories can enhance your look, but avoid overly flashy or large items.

  • Make sure the student is properly dressed for the weather.

  • For multiple students or siblings, select outfits that complement each other rather than matching exactly.
